Dr. Vahlsing is experienced in treating children, adolescents, and adults. She has specialized interests in treating all types of anxiety, depression, parenting concerns, self-esteem issues, grief issues, college stress, trauma, and developmental concerns. By virtue of a diverse training background, Dr. Vahlsing utilizes a variety of treatment orientations in her approach to therapy designed to meet the specific needs of individuals or families seeking care, although she is grounded in a cognitive-behavioral framework. She has certifications in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) as well as Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and as a result is able to support the child directly and the family system supporting the child. Dr. Vahlsing has a warm, engaging style connecting her easily with people of all ages.
